Terms of service.

Last updated · 3 May 2026

§01

Introduction

These terms apply to your use of ifcreport.app (the “Service”), operated by Jarre Dev CommV(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page and, where they affect your rights, by email to your registered address before the change takes effect. Continued use after a change is published means you accept the updated terms.

§02

Accounts

To use the Service beyond the free quota you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us as soon as you become aware of unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your country of residence, and able to enter into a binding contract.

§03

The Service

ifcreport.app parses IFC building models in your browser and generates a PDF report. IFC files are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. We retain only metadata about each saved report (name, project name, schema version, total element count and a summary breakdown by class) so that you can revisit it from your account.

The Service is provided to professional users — architects, engineers, contractors, BIM coordinators — for ordinary business purposes. We do not warrant that any quantities, counts or summaries generated from a model are suitable for safety-critical, structural, regulatory or contractual use without independent verification.

§04

Free tier and Pro plans

A free tier is available for occasional use, limited to a fixed number of reports per month per account. The Pro plan removes that limit and unlocks branded PDFs. Current pricing is shown on the pricing page.

§05

Billing, taxes and renewals

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual schedule. Payments are processed by Stripe. Applicable VAT or sales tax is added at checkout based on your billing location.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep Pro access until then.

Unless required by applicable consumer-protection law, fees already paid are non-refundable. If consumer-protection law in your country gives you a statutory right of withdrawal, you may exercise that right by emailing info@jarre.dev within the period that law prescribes.

§06

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to violate any law or third-party right, including uploading content you do not have the right to process;
  • attempt to circumvent the free-tier limit through multiple accounts, automation, or other means;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or interfere with its operation or other users’ access to it;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its output as your own product.
§07

Your content

You retain all rights to the IFC files you process and to the PDF reports they produce. Because IFC files are processed locally on your device, we never receive a copy. The only data we hold about your reports is the metadata described in §03.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to display the metadata, branding fields and report summaries you save to your account, solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you.

§08

Our content

The Service, the marketing site and all underlying software, designs, trademarks, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you. The PDF report template and its layout are part of the Service; PDFs you generate using the Service are yours to use, distribute, and modify within your own work.

§09

Suspension and termination

You may terminate at any time by deleting your account, which permanently removes your account record and report metadata.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have materially breached these terms, including the acceptable-use rules in §06, or if we are required to do so by law. Where practical we will give notice and a chance to remedy first.

§10

Changes to the Service and pricing

We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. If we increase the price of an existing subscription, we will give at least thirty (30) days’ notice by email; you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

§11

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. The figures and summaries produced by the Service are derived from the IFC file you supply and inherit any errors, omissions, or modelling choices in that file.

§12

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity arising out of your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

§13

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghent, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence reserves jurisdiction for the courts of that country.
